ASSOCIATION?
AMRA is a non-profit corporation, incorporated in the State of New York, since 1973. AMRA was organized by and for all retirees of the United States Armed Forces and was motivated by the realization that there was not a single unified organization dedicated to the concern over the vested rights, privileges and benefits of the military member.


What is
TRICARE?
TRICARE is the government's health insurance program for all seven of the uniformed services. Implementation of TRICARE began in March 1995, and is now fully implemented in CONUS, and Europe.

Who is
eligible
for TRICARE?

 

All active duty members and their families, retirees and their families, and survivors who are not eligible for Medicare may participate in at least one of three TRICARE Options. Additionally, individuals under age 65 who are eligible for Medicare because of disability or end-stage kidney disease may also participate.

Eligibility for TRICARE is determined by the individual services and member must be enrolled in DEERS, the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System.
